I'm currently knitting some pretty tough looking socks with reinforced heels and toes. Can't wait to start on the pink lacy ones. Has anyone actually seen/used a copy of this book?

English or American? Would it be the slightest use to a person who already has a hoard of vintage 1930s/40s/50s patterns?

I think there was some discussion about this on [livejournal.com profile] brit_knits last week. The people I know who have the book speak highly of it, at any rate.

Thanks, I'll have a look.

I found the relevant post plus, oh dear, a whole lot more recommended books. Of course I got sidetracked into reading other stuff. I am relieved to find I am not the only one who buys yarn
from charity shops and car boot sales. I'd love to buy more good yarn but it's just too expensive. I like Wendy's stash busting rules.
