After the Silence

Now that we've all shared the 11 a.m. silence:



A silk postcard from the First World War, made for the troops in France to send home. This says on the back, 'To dear Ada from Bert with love'. Bert was my husband's great uncle, who survived the war and was very old when I knew him. Like most of that generation, he never said anything about his experiences.
