For a while now I've found it really hard to knit, which is a shame when it's supposed to be so good for you. I made this scarf

and a camera case for [profile] huskyteer which I forgot to photograph but I've had one and a half socks in my knitting bag for ages and no desire to finish them.

I'm not getting any inspiration from elswhere, either. The last issue of The Knitter was full of boho styles you'd expect me to like but although the clothes might be fun to knit they all looked lumpy and hard to wear. I shan't be renewing my subscription as buying the summer issues is a waste of money; I don't need umpteen patterns for sleeveless sweaters. There's about two days in an English summer I could wear such a thing and then I'd go for a cotton dress.

A couple of days ago I started to think of winter and Christmas and started something I actually want to get on with. But it's sekrit.

Thank you and for the link.
Some pretty things there but yes, the trousers! How seventies can you get? And how much yarn???

Oh that looks lovely and so autumnal! I really should be knitting too, but feel incapable of getting through any project right now so am pleased that you at least have the inspiration. On top of that I have come down with dreaded lurgy and can't even concentrate on a book, but never mind - October is always one of my favourite months so bound to get better soon!

Thank you! Multi-directional scarves look good and are so easy to do.

I love the pattern and the colors, and it looks so wonderfully soft.

Interesting comment on the Knutter. The most recent one I've got is 10, which has a couple of things I like but won't really work with my figure type. The issue I've liked best was 6, which has two things I'm really keen to knit. They have had some where I haven't wanted anything, though. I suppose that's a problem with strongly-themed issues. I've been rereading the Louisa Harding books; I love her patterns.

There was one issue which had a few things I liked but I can't remember which it was. It had a green cardigan in it ISTR. I've just had an email saying the next issue may be delayed *by several weeks* due to the postal strike! Seems rather pessimistic.
