Nothing could make me feel sorry for Shula. F-i-l is difficult but in the same episode she was preoccupied with a St Stephen's vestry meeting, discussing Alan's insane plan to rip out the church pews. Church buildings or people, which matter more?
I can't do philosophical at the moment! :-). I just thought she was hypocrytical for worrying about The Church but not showing Christian charity in a difficult situation.
Probably true. But I'm not sure I'd do any better.
My other half is still definitely with Shula - he thinks she's 'right to be worried about the church' and that 'she is showing charity'. I guess it's relative, no pun intended.
