All the children's books categories have disappeared this morning, so listing is impossible. It also tells me I have no favourite categories. This had better just be a glitch.

It doesn't seem to be a glitch. See here. I think I'll just keep my head down and hope it goes away for a while. Of course it would be just after I'd listed 50 books on auction.... But they're relists, so I didn't have any huge hopes of them selling anyway.

This will put an end to sales through browsing. Who on earth is going to look through 3,000 or more items?

I've not gone into it in any detail at all (I've been uploading photos to flickr in anticipation of my Ravelry invitation arriving, and it's eating up my time....) but it sounds as though buyers are supposed to use the item specifics to filter instead of the categories. Which strikes me as a completely pointless change, especially given the complete uselessness of the categories in there - I never use them, although I do put the date in and whether it's hardback or paperback. I foresee long hours tinkering with listings in turbolister ahead. But not this week, I just can't be bothered.
