Quite possibly. Have you had your second issue? I did, by a miracle, but I know that a lot of people didn't. Kerrie told them all (at least 30!) that they must have been lost in the post, and that she would resend, but there were then reports that the second copies didn't turn up either. Lots of reports of emails going unanswered, and general dissatifaction. There were threads on two knitting forums about it, but they've both been deleted as people started getting personal. Personally I think they should have stayed as a warning, but perhaps the moderators are nicer than me.
I'll never buy anything from Hipknits again, either - I had a nightmare of unanswered emails after Christmas, as did two of my flist, we eventually got paypal refunds, but it took a while. I wasn't being nasty to her either, quite the opposite, and I gave her the benefit of the doubt for ages, but in the end my patience ran out. I think really that she has just taken on too much, but when you're taking other people's money it's not an excuse.
Thanks for the info. I've certainly never had a second issue. I just do not have time to go chasing this sort of thing at the moment so hard cheese me, but it's fraud, in my book.
Indeed. If it's any consolation, the second issue wasn't up to much - lots of sock patterns, but nothing I wanted to knit.
Some people have managed to get refunds out of her, so it might be worth one email if you can manage to get round to it. I suspect that there are a lot of people who have just given up, she must be sitting on a fair bit of money.
How are things going? I've been thinking of you over the last few days.
I've been thinking of you over the last few days. That's kind. Managed to spring him from hospital yesterday in time for reunion with old friends. He's happier at home but vety poorly and I am a full time carer, which you'd know all about.
Oh, I'm glad he's home. But I'm sorry he's so poorly. Can you get any help with his care? Social Services should help, if he'll accept outside help.
Try and make some time for yourself each day if at all possible, you need to keep your strength up and sanity intact. Chalet School books kept me going (too much soul searching in the Abbey books).
