Very sad loss of a great novelist. How to choose which film of a book of his to watch today?

I'd still go with the original Alec Guinness versions of Tinker Tailor and Smiley's People. Richard Burton is brilliant in The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. I watched it again quite recently.
