RIP dear old Nigel

When I learned yesterday that Monty Don’s dog had died, I was surprised by how upset I was, considering that I’ve never met either man or dog. But Nigel had become such a part of Gardeners’ World that it won’t seem the same without him. Poor Monty. Farewell, dear old boy.

I can empathise because I felt the same and teared up when I read about it. We used to have a golden retriever (Jasper) and they really do have wonderful personalities. xx

Yes, I had tears in my eyes. Losing a pet is always heartbreaking. To judge from the Twitter response (my daughter gave me the link) half the country feels the same way!
