The malign influence of Instagram

You will notice that when I photographed the books I bought at the weekend, I did not pose them with flowers. I am getting a leetle irritated by this trend.

Am I just a grumpy old bat or do others agree?

Quite Agree. Social media can eat your life if you're not careful. There's nothing wrong with doing stylish poses, but I do wonder how much of their lives some people spend on ephemera.

I agree. It's a load of pretentious crap. Books are books however you dress them up :D

i totally agree about photos of books with flowers.I only read some bloggers to laugh at their pretensions.

I'm not on Instagram, either, although I do look at 'themontydon' for the lovely garden pictures.
I feel that Instagram has influenced the way people take photographs for their blogs and, as I said, it all seems unnecessarily competetive.
