In the garden: May at last

It’s rather grey and miserable today but the garden, about a month behind, is catching up.

There’s lots more flowers, hurrah. Even the foxgloves are coming into flower, although they’ll be shorter than usual this year. The other day, my outside table fell to pieces, oops. I’ve bought a little bistro set to replace it. I’m afraid it’s not very rustic, which is obviously the look I prefer but has the great advantage of being light and therefore easy for me to move about and put away.

In other news: RABBIT. Damn thing has eaten all my campanulas and phlox. I was chasing it round the garden at dusk yesterday evening but there was nothing to stop it coming back.

I am envious of your beautiful garden! Those roses and clematis are glorious, the rose colour especially.

Every cottage garden has to have foxgloves :)

And those bad rabbits! I watched the film Peter Rabbit last night, delightful, so it's hard for me to be really cross with them :)

Ugh, rabbits! From what I hear of the film, it's so unlike Beatrix Potter that I wouldn't like it.

Brighter now, so I'll have to do something outside; my poor old legs. I won't be missing the cricket much :-(

There's some nice drawings in the film but no, it's actors with animated Potter rabbits added and not the sort of thing a purist would like :) I'm sure Beatrix wouldn't have cared for it but I like a feel good film and it was that with some amusing moments.
