Saturday evening, knitting to do and absolutely nothing I could possibly want to watch on any of the dozens of Freeview channels available. So I turned to Amazon and The Man in the High Castle. I watched two episodes back to back and was gripped by it. I’ll certainly be watching the rest. I’ve read some very cynical comments about Amazon’s venture into TV series but if they’re all like this, I’m in. The Guardian liked it.

Saturday nights are extremely poor on the telly recently. I read for a bit and watched a couple of programmes from Netflix and NOW. Thank heavens they have lots of old stuff to pull up as well as newer shows and films.

It's the worst night of the week! Sometimes I'll just read and leave the TV off but I do quite often want something on while I'm knitting or sewing.

Amazon is the same: old films and TV series, a lot included in Prime so there's no extra charge for watching. I was quite annoyed to find I could watch Sherlock, as I'd previously treated myself to the box set!

I've stopped buying newer DVDs now everything is online but I do pick older ones up at eBay or Amazon when they are secondhand and only a couple of £s :)
