Winifred Darch

I commented this morning on Furrowed Middlebrow’s blog about how much I like Winifred Darch’s books, which Scott has been reading. So here, for no reason at all except that I like the covers, are some pics.

I have several Winifred Darches in the lovely boards, but I find the spines don't wear very well.

Mine seems OK but I've only got that one with pretty boards. I thought I had more of her books than I found.

I'm feeling envious - my Darch collection is smaller (and made up of totally different books) and nowhere near as lovely as objects. The first one I got was one I think I 'always' had, so I grew up with it.

When I got the books out to photogrpah them, I was surprised how few I had!

I like home/school books, which is what makes her a favourite writer.
