Show time again. It seems we’ve only just had the spring show and here we are at the late summer/early autumn one. I love to see all the fruit and veg. at this show. Sadly, there were dark mutterings that this may be the last summer show we stage, as the shows lose so much money. At least three people asked me where my entries were: *guilt*.



A remarkable entry in the Floral Art section. It got second place in its class; I thought it should have won.

Sorry your show is having a hard time. Ours was August Bank Holiday, and the amount of entries was huge this year. Local businesses sponsor it, the entries are 20p at the most, and I won 20p! Hope yours picks up for next year.

We have sponsorship and 20p entries, too. The problem is the cost of hiring the hall and tables.
Thanks; I'd be sad to see it go after fifty years or more.

I expect you'd win! You should have seen the winning entry in the beetroot cake class! The baker had not only grown her own beetroot but crystallized slices of it to make a flower decoration on top. The same person who created that wonderful vegetable arrangement.
