Until now, my favourite mis-writing of the author's name has been Alison Utterly. Now today browsing eBay I spotted the previously unknown writer A.NUTTLEY.
Ha! That's on a par with Made of the Abbey and Robins in the Alley, both of which I've seen, in fact I've seen the first one twice. Gives a whole new dimension to Joan and Jen removing bits of the Abbey for their personal use....
I am absurdly pleased by the picture in this post - because "Little Grey Rabbit Makes Lace" was my absolute favourite of the Little Grey Rabbit books when I was small. And I haven't seen it in years because the books belonged to my grandparents and I don't know what happened to them when Grandad died.
Aah! Glad you liked it. I picked it randomly from covers I'd already scanned for eBay. My favourite is Water Rat's Picnic, closely followed by LGR's Christmas. They are the ones I read over and over when I was little. It's rather sad your grandparents' books disappeared.
