Ironic that so soon after my posting that I didn't believe in feeding wild birds, this mailshot should arrive in the post from the RSPB.

I only feed the buggers so they come into MY garden, and I can watch them in comfort ... so, no, sorry RSPB, I don't actually care on that score. I do care on other scores and am an RSPB member, but that isn't the point!

Last year I saved more than my membership fee in free entry to RSPB reserves, so as far as the birds go, I'm in credit!
