One thing leads to another

Since being pointed there by [profile] minniemoll I’ve become a regular reader of
dovegreyreader’s blog. In an idle moment I looked up her entry in LibraryThing . Who doesn’t want to know what books other people have got? I despair of ever getting round to doing this myself: the thought of cataloguing thousands of books is just too daunting. Typically trivial minded, I was sidetracked by the photo (of herself?) she has put there. Not so much the charming child portrait but the obviously Pedigree doll with her, which looks the same vintage as my own. So here for your delight is a picture of three little girls with their dolls.

Name that doll

Glad to know you can be an lj-er too. My best doll was (and is) Judith. She has to live in quarantine in the loft in case she gets Pedigree doll disease. My sister's was called Anne but the name of our friend's doll is lost forever. I must ask her sometime what it was. We had roller skates, too but I liked my scooter best.
Would you care to friend?

Did you have a red and yellow mobo scooter? My dream was a pair of Jacko roller skates with ball-bearings in the wheels because they went so much faster than my Davies ones.
If "friend" means link than that would be great, I've put a link to here on my blog.

Yes! But it was stolen and then I had a big Triang one. Have you seen this wonderful site?

Friends: at the top of your LJ page is a toolbar which they're always changing, just to annoy us. If you click on Friends, Manage Friends and then Edit Friends you can add someone to your Flist so that their messages always appear on your Friends' page without you having to look them up.

Are you the little girl on the left?

Oh perceptive one! And round my neck I notice a purse I knitted myself, pale blue, which I had forgotten until this moment. Started young.
