callmemadamAll day long I have been irritated by Radio 4's news bulletins referring to 'the British historian David Irving'. Applied to him, the word 'historian' should be placed firmly in inverted commas. So I was pleased that at 8 p.m. the news editors had substituted 'writer' for historian. I wonder how many complaints they had?
