I think everyone would have liked it but let's hear it for Dravid, who doesn't get enough credit in India, it seems. Though I liked the guy holding up a placard saying 'England versus Dravid'!
Amazing! I've been staying up far too late listening to TMS and reading the live text at the same time. It all feels very surreal somehow - England number one in the world and completely crushing the opposition. Who'd have thought during all those years when we were embarrassing that we'd have a team that could play like this. And Wolves are second in the prem as well. I suspect I am in some kind of couch potato paradise.
Oh frabjous day! They *looked* like winners, in their Persil-white shirts and blue caps and the Indians seemed a rabble in comparison, shambling about in layers of sweaters with their hands in their pockets. Just shows you what hard work can do. I'm surprised M S Dhoni has been so grudging in acknowledging just how soundly his team was beaten. As someone said on the live blog, 'I know how it feels to be an Australian.'
