lucky you, it's pouring with rain here... so bleak. Haven't spotted any diet mags yet, but I'm fed up with the sofa and kitchen sale ads on TV.

Poor you!

On 1 January I stood by the window. A weak sun was shining and with not a trace of snow to be seen, even though I could feel the cold from the window it felt as if spring was in the air. A truly new beginning.

Since then we have had some more snow and it has been cold the past couple of days, but the sun has been out regularly. But if the weather forecast is to be believed we will be getting your rain tomorrow, plus higher temperatures.

Also, RIP Gerry Rafferty.

Heigh ho, yet another day of gloom here. If it would stop raining I could do something hopeful like poke around for snowdrop shoots and cut down the dead ferns that cover some of them but there's no incentive to step outside unless you have to.

Gerry Rafferty has had more airplay today than in the past five years, I should think. Baker Street is a classic and I've always loved it.
