BBC Sport - Football - England miss out to Russia in 2018 World Cup vote

Thank goodness we'll avoid all the expense and hype of the Olympics. I kept hearing on the news that England's 'big guns' were fighting our corner (Oh my Palmerston and Dreadnoughts long ago!) So here is an utterly trivial, irrelevant and brain-rotting poll on the big three for people stuck at home with nothing better to do.

Actually none of them are my type, but I think David Beckham looks rather handsome until he opens his mouth. William Wales will not age well, I fear. And Cameron? Just no.

Hee, I'm finding these answers fascinating. Beckham has a strange cuteness. I go for wrecked looking men, for some reason. Bill Nighy is a good example.

Even if it were the World Cup of Cricket I would have little enthusiasm, as that competition is the silly tea party form of the game played in one's pyjamas as opposed to Test cricket, which is of course Right and Proper.

As for the poll, it's like trying to pick the best-looking from a warthog, a sea cucumber, and Merv Hughes.

Yes, they go on about economic benefits to the country but it seems to me a few people make money and the rest of us pay for it.
