It's none of it very believable, is it? I was quite fed up with David, who was insensitive and silly over Sophie, but Ruth and Sam? Nah. This is taking our imaginations a step too far, methinks.

And now they've copped out! It's the right decision but I suspect Sam may turn violent...

Yes, hardly the exciting, dramatic episode we were led to expect. Sam's behaviour has not been that of a rational person and Usha was right when she said that he had exploited Ruth's vulnerability.
