These cost 75p each. The bulbs can go out in the garden when they're over and the pots be re-used. I went mad and also bought hyacinths and tulips. As it's dark and wet again today, I'm glad I did.
I was too pessimistic, saying there were no signs of spring: there's lots of daffodil spikes here, too. Just up the road near the shop I noticed actual buds the other day. Hard to believe it when we're told that 'spring is early', though! At least here we have rain and not snow.
There have been days when I've thought that spring is in the air, but they don't seem to be running together yet, to actually *be* spring. I hope it's not going to be much longer...
It has been raining non-stop here today, which doesn't happen too often. I must say I love rain (especially if I don't have to go out!) Perfect weather to curl up on the sofa and finish my book.
