Painting the Town
Jan. 3rd, 2010 09:55 amI wrote here about the terrible fire which nearly destroyed three old buildings here and left the town without a post office for seventeen weeks! Just before Christmas the surrounding boards were cheered up by some jolly murals, supposed to represent the spirit of the town.

I risked life and limb yesterday standing in the middle of the road to take some more photos

The annual Folk Festival.

Home of local lord of the manor, with peacock. These peacocks think they own the place and are often seen on rooftops or holding up traffic in the road.
