Though you'd never guess it from the beautiful weather here.
I hadn't expected such a good prom. I didn't check the programme and all the advance publicity was about David Attenbore playing the floor polisher. Oh, the lovely Purcell! And Cor! Sarah Connolly in naval uniform! I really liked that original version of Rule Britannia, too. Thanks to the Beeb for reducing the amount of regional boredom this year. Anyone else think Rory Bremner would have done a better presenting job than Clive Anderson?
