I’m only putting this on Dreamwidth, not on LJ where my daughter might read it and be embarrassed. At the weekend, she overcame all the bureaucracy necessary to travel to France, in order to do a 2.5km swim. The location was the Château de Chantilly, the scene of Zorin’s Castle in A View to a Kill. She decided to swim for Unicef because the late Roger Moore was an ambassador for them for many years. I was cold all weekend, so goodness knows what the water was like. She completed the swim and, at the time of writing, had raised over £1,000. The target was £500.00, so people were generous. More information here. Well done!
