Lovely photo. I like to observe which flowers the bees like - in this garden it's the campanulas and certain flowering shrubs, particularly the ceanothus, pyracanthus and cotoneaster. They seem to ignore flashy flowers and go for the small slightly uninteresting ones.

Thank you; one of my better efforts! Funnily enough, I found I'd posted about astrantias exactly a year before.

In my garden I see bee bottoms wiggling in foxglove flowers and they also seem fond of jasmine.
