I wrote here about patterns from The Knitter I intended to use. Hah, I have actually

The socks were fun to do and I'd make them again but I will never use a Turkish or afterthought heel. All that painstaking picking up stitches! The nerve-wracking cutting through the waste yarn! Plus, usually when sock knitting you graft the toe and hurrah, sock finished! This way you have to go back and do a lot of tedious fiddling about.

Oh dear, my poor old hands; couldn't really crop them out, though. I'd definitely use this pattern again as it's easy, quick and doesn't use much yarn. What next?

Gardening hands. I am going to start wearing lace gloves when I go out: my hands look about 85 years old!

I've resisted making patterned socks up to now but it was much easier than I expected. I love your tulips!

Very nice! My hands seem to be aging faster than the rest of me.

Thank you! Doesn't seem fair, does it? Thank goodness for gloves.
