Oh, Mama, Can This Really Be...
Nov. 21st, 2008 05:50 pmI've been looking at the current issue of Country Living magazine in an attempt to forget moving hassles and instead indulge in happy fantasies about dressing my cottage when I get it. What sort of loo roll holder shall I get? Do I need a new doormat? How about a hand carved boot rack? :-)
The mag has been running a competition about uses for old Bonne Maman jam jars. This reminds me horribly of an advertising campaign of yesteryear, called 'How Other People Take Their Horlicks', as if anybody cared. 'Tsk', says I, in my best Wendy Weber manner, 'Get a life!'. Then I looked in one of my kitchen cupboards (emptying fast) and found:

a Bonne Maman jar containing cinammon sticks. How sickeningly predictable of me.
