Strawberries for breakfast this morning! One day the entire patch looks green and the next you can pick half a pound. The dish is French. I picked it up at a car boot a while ago and it comes out every year for the strawberry season.

My visiting deer is gradually removing all the leaves from the strawberry plants, which makes it easier for me to spot the fruit but the blackbirds have better eyesight. And something small has burrowed right under the potatoes. What, I wonder?

I'm not sure I'll have enough spare fruit for jam: depends on the pests! Yes, a pretty dish.
