When will eBay fix this problem that's been going on for ages now, where after working smoothly it suddenly says 'welcome to my eBay for guests...'? I was switching just from one window to another when it suddenly demanded that I sign in again, as a result of which I lost a bargain auction. Grrr.

Personally I think that they should retitle the box which says 'keep me signed in unless I sign out' and add 'or unless ebay randomly decide that my computer has obviously been hijacked in the two seconds since I last signed in....' Or words to that effect.

I hate Ebay sometimes. I used to be able to be permanently signed in, but not now. Grrrr.

I become an instant guest whenever I use the other computer. I haven't lost any auctions that way, though. Being a seller myself, I always try to get my bid in well before the auction closes.

I was really quite miffed by a would-be buyer who, having "watched" my offering for several days, missed making her bid because "I had to stay at work late." She wanted to know if I'd be relisting. Well! I was inclined to say that she'd had seven days to bid in already, and was she going to watch it for another week?

I occasionally watch things from curiosity, or if I'm not sure I want it, but when I am offering an item for $5.00, free postage (the retail price is usually $25.00), I find watchers a bit of a pain. These days I'm starting the items at $10.00.
