Advice needed: should I buy a Kindle Paperwhite?

I’ve had my beloved Kindle since, I think, 2010 and it still works! It’s one of the really early ones, with a keyboard. Now Amazon have the Paperwhite for quite a good price in their sale, so I’m wondering whether to go for it. How easy is it to move your books over? Do you have to do it manually? Another consideration is that the networks may switch off 3G. If they do, I presumably would no longer be able to connect. Replies from someone more techie than I am would be very welcome.

I still have my original kindle with the keyboard but I haven't used it for years. I read on my phone or tablet. The kindle app is perfectly fine and provides a normal kindle experience.

To move books from one kindle to another is easy and there's no manual moving. Your kindle is connected to your Amazon account. You need to press the 'home' button on the NEW kindle and deregister the old kindle (you can then register the new kindle). There should be instructions. Once the new kindle is registered all your books will be there as they are stored on your Amazon account. If something doesn't appear just sync the new kindle.

I love my paper white. Mum recently got a new one and it was very easy to set up. All her books showed up in the cloud and I just had to click on them to re download them. Took about an hour
