Another power cut, another panic attack

I woke at five this morning, put the radio on and it went off a minute later because of a power cut. Another one! Had to get up, faffing about with torches, candles and the kettle on the gas hob. Power came back on after about three quarters of an hour but the damage was done. If I only woke up at a sensible time, I wouldn't have known anything about it. Now I have to convince myself that a bad start doesn't necessarily mean a bad day. Fierce weather!
