The Napoleon Diaries

I’m reading Andrew Roberts’ Napoleon the Great, which is a very long book indeed. I wish I’d thought of this before: noting each day his career trajectory.

Previously: er, I've decided not to bore everyone with what I've already read.

This morning, against all the odds and in spite of making strategic mistakes, he won the battle of Marengo!

Gosh, you are brave reading a very long book. I usually start off enthusiastically then flag a bit and it's a struggle to get to the end.

It's over 900 pages! I sometimes like to have a non fiction book downstairs for daytime reading and a light one for bed. Good job Napoleon is on the Kindle or I wouldn't be able to pick it up!
