Today's book bargain

One of today's Kindle deals is Sidney Chambers and the Shadow of Death by James Runcie.
The books are much better than the TV series.

I quite liked the TV series - I have only read one of the books so far and was slightly disappointed that it was short stories as I thought I had bought a novel.

I liked the Tv series, too and I'm glad there's going to be another one. I was disappointed that they changed the stories so much.

I know that feeling but nevertheless I've enjoyed all three of the books I've read.

In spite of being short stories I still enjoyed it and will read more.

I agree. As much as I loved the actors, I missed the feeling of the books. I listened to a couple via kindle, but then went out and bought all the paperbacks.

Yes, it was enjoyable as a TV series but as you say, missed the feeling of the books. I've got the first three on the kindle, as I'm sure I'll want to read them again.
