I have the Debfather and Bradshaw 2 (my bro) in transit and the Valleygirl up in Edinburgh with cancelled buses - I hope they all (and huskyteer of course) make it through safely. It's snowing quite hard again here but the roads are clearish.
Yes - and they are astonishingly sharp - presumably because it's such a drip that runs down the ice and freezes on the end to make the point? Yesterday's have melted. I keep hearing a thump, as icicles or lups of snow fall off the roof. Yippee! Council workmen have cleared some snow, and here's the gas lorry! i wonder if the binmen will come? The bins have been out since last Friday
Thank you - the Wine Club made it through the snow this afternoon, so I have wine with my beans and rice and tinned vegetables - and now hope to get to a shop on the 29th for some post-Christmas treats
They look better hanging from thatch! we've got them too but they're not as huge as last year (hope they don't get that way). Hope your chick gets home, and both mine - near horizontal sleet outside right now.
Yes, they hang down from the 'eyebrows' and frame all the upstairs windows.
Thank you and same for yours. Main roads are fine but I just had to go out (not shopping thank goodness) and the car-park was like an ice rink. Very quiet everywhere in spite of what we are hearing about the whole country being on the move.
Lovely photo, but I so dislike this weather! Brave you going out in it! Miranda is now down from London - hope Alice will soon be home safe too! Let me know if/when you're free for a visit after Christmas. xx
