Yes, it looks awful at the moment but I've been planning to have the horrible overgrown conifers down ever since I moved in. The bays will sprout again from the base and the area can then be kept under control. The house is lighter and the view from the upstairs windows has been opened up, so I'm glad it's done.

I believe conifers are the biggest cause of trouble between neighbours. They're OK, even leylandii, if looked after properly but people leave it too late.

Nothing more enjoyable than winter planning for next year's garden. I'm thinking Clematis jouiniana, Geranium nodosum ooh! all sorts!

I have two lke that. They started off in pots thirty years ago.
If you can have yours cleared,I'm sure that I can say yes,when John tries to persuade me again.

In the seventies, when conifers were so popular, a lot were sold as 'dwarf' varieties, which were nothing of the kind.
