At the Market
Sep. 19th, 2020 10:46 amIt’s been ages since I did one of these posts. I was up very early so decided to go down to the market. There were lots of sellers today; very few people wore masks but only the outside area is open. The last time I went, a few weeks ago, I came away with nothing. Today, because this is the way it always works, I’d hardly been there ten minutes before I was staggering under my load of purchases and had almost reached the limit of my self-imposed spending limit.
I got all the children’s books shown above; I can’t emphasise enough how hard it is these days to find this sort of thing. I also got a Daisy Dalrymple title I haven’t read and a book for
huskyteer. Then I bought an excellent stock book of Empire and Commonwealth stamps for what I thought a very reasonable price. I don’t often see stamps of this type which I haven’t got, so I’m very pleased with it. Also, a couple of household items. My total spend was about £20.00. Now I know how I’ve been saving money during lockdown without trying to! All that and I was still home by a quarter to nine.
