As is pointed out in the article, ‘favourite’ and ‘best’ aren’t necessarily the same thing. After the cut I’ve listed the books, striking out those I haven’t read. I rather object to the comment that choosing older books is ‘conservative’. Read what you enjoy, I say. How about you?
