Builders' gifts and Greek ones

Earlier this year I worked hard digging out the enormous weeds which the builders' topsoil was full of. I left a few 'weeds' which I thought would be nice if I remembered to pull them out before they seeded. They're the kind of thing you might see along the central reservation of a motorway.



The Evening Primroses have turned out to be rather magnificent.

I wouldn't have expected Nicotiana. I noticed this last autumn, left it alone and it's flowered again this summer.



These poppies I've already written about.





I could really, really do without this, though. Nightmare!
