Just heard this news on the radio. I've known that voice all my life.
Milton Jones. Hurrah for something in the 6.30 Radio 4 comedy slot that I actually find funny. I tend to like the wordy, densely scripted programmes like Clare in the Community and Ed Reardon. Another Case of Milton Jones is available on Listen Again through the link I've given.

Elsewhere on Radio 4: wasn't Brian sweet to Peggy this evening?
Ot is it? Is this a cliff hanger? Although I've heard every episode, this story line has been as incomprehensible to me as the ploughing contest. Meanwhile, Jennifer and Lilian should be polishing their halos, IMO.

What a nasty, self righteous little prig this girl is. I couldn't believe her parents let her get away with being so rude to Susan and now here she is lecturing Izzie on the benefits of abortion. She is a green fascist in the making.
Clarrie tells it like it is. Emma lives in la-la land. Caroline is kind. I've been expecting a row between her and Oliver over their respective protégés.
How much more can Jenny take? I'd take about £5 million, myself.

Alan. Sack Shula.

Go Pat!

I find the Cathy/Taylor rape trial very hard to listen to and not very believable but Pat was an absolute star witness and I take back any unkind thoughts I've ever had about her. Poor old Nigel...
Brenda Tucker, that is.
'It is deeply unchristian of me to feel like this.' Ha Ha Ha.
Shula! A whited sepulchre.

Spare us!

First it was reliving Kathy's rape: very distressing. Now, all the details of Ruth's impending and completely unnecessary operation. Perleaze!
Get a nanny, why don't you?
No Archers fan will be missing the wedding of the year at 7.02 pm approx. this evening. I am shocked that the BBC, on its web site and in TV trailers, is showing photographs of a couple of imposters purporting to be Adam and Ian. Tsk!
Or will she heed the wise words of her friend Usha?

BBC Radio 4 is certainly determined that no one will miss the fact that tonight's episode of the Archers is the fifteen thousandth. Trailers morning, noon and night and Vanessa Whitburn, the noted murderess, on PM just now.

If she does, I just hope they spare us the sound effects.
OK, Ruth is now my top Archers hate figure. She has a loving husband who has nursed her through cancer, three pregnancies, the death of her father etc. etc. and she'll throw all that away for a romp in the cow byre? Pah! Disgusting and immoral.
Er, perhaps I need reminding that she's not real?

Farmer Tan

So Sophie still fancies David.

Farmer tan on (his) neck and arms
Farmer tan the secret of (his) charms
So Ed did run off after all and has been replaced by an imposter...
